Configuring Your Email SMTP Provider for Outbound Email

SMTP Setup Overview: #

AiXios doesn’t send emails directly – it uses an SMTP service or API to deliver your outbound emails (campaigns, automation, etc.). In this tutorial, you’ll connect an email provider (like Mailgun, Gmail SMTP, SendGrid, etc.) so you can send emails from your AiXios account.

Choose an SMTP Email Provider: #

Decide which email service you want to use for sending. Common options include Mailgun (for dedicated email delivery), Google Workspace/Gmail (for small volume or personal business email), SendGrid, Zoho, etc. If you choose a service like Mailgun, sign up for an account and add your sending domain. For Gmail or Outlook, make sure you enable SMTP access (for Gmail, enable 2FA and create an App Password).

Add SMTP Credentials in AiXios: #

In AiXios, navigate to Settings > Email Services, then Add Mailgun (under Agency settings) and SMTP Services (under Sub account settings). Click Add Service and choose your provider. For Mailgun: Enter API Key, Domain, and Region. For Gmail: Select Gmail, then enter your Gmail address and paste the 16-digit App Password. For Other SMTP providers: Enter the SMTP host, port, username, password or API key. Save the SMTP integration.

Verify and Test Your Email Setup: #

Go to Settings > Company/Business Profile and set the Default “From” Email address to match your sending domain. Send a test email by navigating to Conversations, click Send Email, and try sending an email to a personal address. Check the recipient inbox (and spam folder) to confirm the email arrives.
