Enabling Missed-Call Text Back Automation

Missed-Call Text Back Overview: #

The Missed-Call Text Back feature automatically sends an SMS to anyone who calls your AiXios (Twilio) number when you can’t answer. This instant text can say you’re unavailable but will reply soon, turning a missed call into a text conversation.

Configure the Missed-Call Text Back Message: #

In your sub-account, go to Settings > Phone Numbers > Advanced Settings, and click on the Voicemail & Missed Call Textback tab. Scroll down to find Missed Call Text Back settings. Click into the message box and type the message you want sent to callers when you miss their call. Keep it short and helpful. For example: “Sorry I missed your call! This is [Your Name] at [Business Name]. How can I help you? (This is an automated text.)” You can use Custom Values like {{company.name}} to insert your business name automatically.

Enable and Save the Missed Call Text Feature: #

Make sure there is an ON/OFF switch for Missed Call Text Back and enable it (turn it ON). Save the settings. When someone calls your integrated Twilio number and no one answers, after the call ends, AiXios will automatically trigger an SMS to that caller’s number with the message you set.

Test the Feature: #

To be sure it works, use another phone to call your AiXios number and don’t answer. After about 30 seconds or so, you should receive the automated SMS reply. This confirms it’s working and ensures that a missed call doesn’t become a lost lead.
